Side Effects
Hydrocodone and acetaminophen may increase the effects of other drugs that cause drowsiness, including antidepressants, alcohol, antihistamines, pain relievers, anxiety medicines, seizure medicines, and muscle relaxants.
There is very little information about the effects of hydrocodone on the fetus. Physicians may elect to use hydrocodone if its benefits are deemed to outweigh potential risks.

In Germany and elsewehere, Hydrocodone is available as single-active-ingredient tablets as Dicodid.
Hydrocodone, like other narcotic pain-relievers, interacts with other medications and drugs that slow the brain's processes, such as alcohol, barbiturates, skeletal muscle relaxants including carisoprodol.

Medication Dosage
Patients receiving other narcotic analgesics, antipsychotics, antianxiety agents, or other CNS depressants including alcohol concomitantly with Hydrocodone and acetaminophen tablets may exhibit an additive CNS depression.
Hydrocodone is an effective antitussive anti-cough agent, and as an opiate it is also an effective analgesic for mild to moderate pain control. 5 mg of Hydrocodone is equal to 30 mg of codeine when administered orally.
However, it is now considered that a dose of 15 mg (1/4 gr) of Hydrocodone is equivalent to 10 mg (1/6 gr) of morphine. Hydrocodone is considered to be morphine-like in all respects.

It is possible become physically and/or psychologically dependent on the medication. Do not take more than the prescribed amount of medication or take it for longer than is directed by your doctor.
