Medication Dosage
Symptoms of a Adipex overdose may include confusion, hallucinations, feeling restless or aggressive, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, irregular heartbeat, tremors, rapid breathing, confusion, hallucinations, feeling light-headed, fainting.
Take phentermine capsules or tablets by mouth. Follow the specific directions on the prescription label. Swallow the capsules or tablets with a drink of water at least 30 minutes before eating. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.
Adipex is used togther with diet and exercise to treat obesity in people with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes.
Remember that Adipex should never be combined with the weight-loss drug fenfluramine; very dangerous side effects could result. This drug may also react badly with alcohol. Avoid alcoholic beverages while you are taking it.
Do not take Adipex without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. Do not give this medication to anyone younger than 16 years old without the advice of a doctor.
Adipex may impair the ability of the patient to engage in potentially hazardous activities such as operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle; the patient should therefore be cautioned accordingly.
